“Was ok …”
The hotel feels historical, quaint, and grand, but room 358 was small, had dust on the lampshade, was very hot, the window wouldn’t open, the toilet didn’t flush properly, and the shower gel was watered down.

The staff, especially Ricky at reception, were great; we’ll return.

The decor and breakfast were excellent, the staff were very helpful, and there was nothing negative.

The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious with plenty of hot water, but the frosted‑glass window blocked all view, pigeons kept cooing, and the bar area was chilly with hardly any seating for the number of guests.

The staff were pleasant, but the old hotel had very few employees, I paid a lot for three nights and felt very let down as a repeat guest.
