We missed breakfast because we left too early, but it sounded good—English or omelette. We enjoyed a lovely braai and a bottle of red wine. Abigail cooked the braai and veggies for us at a reasonable total cost of R 450.00 for two. The lodge sits on a game farm about 2 kms from the gate. On the way we spotted buffalo, wildebeest, and kudu. The lodge is securely fenced, yet we were delighted to hear a kudu jump the fence at night to graze on the green lawn! It’s only about 10 kms from Mountain Zebra National Park. A minor point: it would have been nice to have wine and whisky glasses in the rooms for sundowners.
