“Very disappointing experience despite the great reviews”
We picked this hotel because of its stellar reviews. The room was clean and breakfast was nice, but the reality was far from that. From the moment we arrived, the room was extremely noisy—construction, the road outside, and neighboring rooms. We could hear every toilet flush, tap, phone call, and conversation. When we asked reception for help, they said there was nothing they could do and that if a room became available the next day at a higher rate, we’d have to pay the difference. After waking up to the noise, we told them we’d seek booking help if they couldn’t support us. They were kind and promised a refund. We booked another hotel, but despite multiple follow‑ups, the hotel denies agreeing to it. In the end, we paid twice for the same nights and spent part of our holiday dealing with this instead of enjoying Sicily. That’s the only hotel we had problems with. I’m sharing this so others can make an informed choice. Something here with the comment is unauthentic, please take this into account.
