“Beautiful lake view! Can't be beat!”
The view was unbeatable, making it the highlight of our month‑long road trip; a public spot just down the street was perfect for swimming and hanging out, and getting to Grindelwald from the hostel was easy while we also enjoyed Interlaken, so this single stop could easily become a whole vacation. The rooms met our expectations, but we would have liked the communal bathrooms to be updated.
It would have been nice to have a small lamp in the bedroom for better evening lighting; only a neon light was available, which made the room feel anything but cozy at night, especially for the price per night—quite disappointing.
The direct sea view was great, but the place felt archaic.
The lake view from the terrace was stunning, the bedding was clean, and the bathroom and shower were spotless; having a kitchen allowed my two kids and me to cook meals together—thanks!
