We didn't stay. Even though we were warned that there was no availability in Hinton (and we verified this at most other places) we still chose to cancel and get a refund, which forced a 2.5 hour drive for 6 adults to a mediocre motel. I hope the refund will reach my credit card, but it hasn't yet after 36 hours. We booked 2 rooms. One king room was along a smelly corridor and had a loud air conditioning unit outside the window, making it impossible to sleep with the noise. We asked to change but were told they were fully booked. We also booked one 2‑bedroom room. This turned out to be a single room with 2 bedroom “zones” but no doors, and with gaps at the top of the walls to let in light; despite being a large area, there was only one small window. We felt there was inadequate privacy for two couples, especially as the 2 bathroom areas were between the two bedroom “zones”. Both rooms looked clean but were very drab. This is a trades hotel and not aimed at families on holiday. Our mistake for not realizing this.

The waitress at the restaurant, the bed, and the owner who understood the situation and let us leave without any trouble were positives. The room we got was gloomy, barely lit, very old, very dirty, with an unbearable odor. The view was of a roof with machines that made terrible noise at night. We were traveling with a baby and it was our worst experience. Luckily we found a better place and only stayed here for the first night. We spoke with Booking and they handled us very well. I don't want to harm anyone with this comment, but I think it is necessary so people can know what to expect and choose accordingly.

The staff were pleasant, the suite was very clean, and the bedding was incredible.
