Penzion Kůlna

“Celkově jsme byli spokojeni.”

The location was excellent, a beautiful, well‑maintained garden with a pond, quiet and relaxing. The room’s amenities were above standard, and we really appreciated being able to make coffee in the room and enjoy branded toiletries. The hallway and staircase cleaning left a lot of dust on shoes and into rooms, probably because the robotic mower keeps cutting the grass. Breakfast could have included scrambled eggs, a coffee machine, and hot water for bottled tea; that would have kept the culinary level high. We heard the dinner was fantastic.

It’s a beautiful spot with friendly staff, a spacious, cozy room, luxury toiletries in the bathroom, and a lovely pond in the garden. It’s a short walk from the gorgeous caves. In the warm summer months the attic spaces get hot, but you can open a window to fix it. At night, when it cools, the bathroom ventilates nicely. A blinking smoke detector, monitored from the bed, kept my son from falling asleep. Otherwise, it’s great.

The garden has a nice deck and a large plot, but for the price I expected a better dinner even though I understand cooking only for four people is a stretch.

The place is pretty, but the pillows and the mattress were uncomfortable, especially the pillow.

“Krásné ubytování, milý personál, vinikajici jídlo. Penzion Kůlna je skvělý koncept. Určitě se vrátíme. Škoda akorát, že”

The accommodation and surroundings are lovely, yet the sauna and Finnish tub that are listed were not available, probably not in operation at all, so I wonder when they’ll be usable if not in winter.
