I only liked that it was in the city centre. The place was dirty, I paid extra for windows but got none, and it was extremely noisy – I woke up several times from loud alarms and the constant clatter of other guests using the bathroom or shower because of bad plumbing.

The front‑desk staff were friendly and polite, yet the room I booked looked nothing like the photos – it was tiny, in poor condition with a shoe stamp and a broken mosquito on the wall, and there was barely enough space to open my luggage. For 270€ a night without breakfast, which is well above Rome’s average, it felt like a scam. I asked for a room change, eventually received a slightly larger one after two nights, but the new room stayed uncleaned for three days.

We had no hot water for an entire day, the lights kept blinking, there was noise every hour during the night, and at one point there was no electricity at all. For the price paid, the value was terrible. We requested a double bed but were first given two twin beds; the mattress felt odd.
