Mohammed at the front desk was friendly, professional, and a real asset to the hotel; he pointed me toward a lovely dining spot. The room was tidy and the hotel’s location was convenient, especially the easy access to the train station, though the main room lighting felt quite dim. The complimentary coffee and tea were a nice touch, and while the rooms are small, my light luggage and the proximity to the Gare made the stay acceptable.

The room was cozy and quiet—a real plus in central Paris, just two minutes from Gare Montparnasse. The welcome was warm and the staff attentive; I highly recommend this hotel. The pool is a definite bonus.

The staff was very kind. They have a swimming pool. Cimetière Montparnasse is near by. Great location. Quiet street with little vehicle traffic. This is a personal opinion. (If I assess according to what I expect other people to think then the overall score is not really cumulative). The room was too small. Less than an armswidth from the bed to the wall opposite from which the single bed had been situated. I did not feel terribly dignified trying to move around in that tight space. To compensate for that there was closet space, but even there, there were too few shelves, although I forget the precise number. I do not like this decor. It is the insipid, clean-looking kind of bland colours that millennials think is wholesome and decent (I am a millennial, à propos) but in twenty years, (supposing we are to survive that long), will make us be looked upon as the gloomiest, most cheerless generation that has ever lived. That is to say, do not expect hideousness, but it is an aesthetic in new establishments that I will not refrain from saying I find depressing. (Would that I remembered how to describe it in detail). Cleaning staff used maybe too much odour, but it was far from the revolting rank that I have encountered only recently in a number of other recent establishments
