The renovations were fantastic, turning the room into something new while the original was being upgraded, and the staff were incredibly helpful.
A quiet, relaxing spot with a hot pool to soak in and lovely staff.
“Belle détente dans les sources chaudes !”
We really enjoyed the garden and the hot spring pool right on site, spending a lot of time there with the kids. It was also close to other hot springs on foot and a great restaurant only two minutes away. The number of flies is truly overwhelming throughout the area; if you take breakfast on site, eat on your room balcony instead of the garden, there will be fewer. Choose restaurants with windows, especially if you’re eating fish! We also had some trouble with the dogs on site – they smelled very strong and stuck to us as soon as we went to eat.
“It s horrible”
We got there at 13:00 and nobody seemed prepared for us; we booked a bungalow but ended up in a first‑floor room in a building – the worst experience of my life. I called the manager right away and demanded a full refund. The pool was empty and they started filling it only after we arrived. They arranged a taxi for us very quickly, so our stay lasted about 30 minutes while we fought with thousands of flies; the room was full of flies and the wardrobe was in the bathroom, which was horrible. All in all, someone should verify what’s promised online versus what you actually get; I hope we’ll get the full refund, but the day is lost, the taxi money is wasted, and the nightmare is something we’ll never forget.
The location was perfect, and you can start trekking straight from there to climb Mt Batur.
