“We left and demanded a full refund”

Nothing; do not book this hotel. The hotel was not as advertised: on arrival the reception was unfriendly, we were given the key and told the room was that way – we found the room but there was an awful smell, the shower was filthy with loose tiles, the air conditioning was not maintained and smelled foul, the bed linen was unclean and full of bugs, the bed had bed bugs, the pillows were dirty, the pool was dirty with broken tiles and dirty filters and dead birds around it. The fridge in the room was not working properly and full of ice. The hotel had a rating of 8.4 but that was from 2015. The spa was extra and not up to standard. We complained to the Director and had to leave. We eventually received a full refund, but that took several days – we had no sleep for over 36 hours and had to desperately find somewhere else because we had nowhere to stay, our money was tied up in this hotel – we had to really complain and prove the reason for us having to pack up and leave, which caused us severe upset and distress during our holiday. We reported this to the Italian tourist board because we would not want anyone else to experience this.

The pool water. The assistance was completely absent at the pool reception; the pool was nice but full of flies. Unfortunately the price of the stay does not match the services provided.
