How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The hotel sits right across from the beach, and the bar is cute with a cozy vibe. The pool is well kept, everything’s clean, and the cocktails are great. The downside is the whole coast is surrounded by crows—so much that you can hear them land on our roof at night and their daily croaking. The staff are numerous and skilled, but most of the time they’re lost or asleep when they talk to us, and we often feel like we’re bothering them.

Standing in front of a paradise beach, it’s amazing to be alone by the shore. The only issue is that the food prices feel too high.

The location was fine. Unfortunately, my stay at Nilaveli Beach Hotel was let down mainly by the customer service. Several staff members came across as unfriendly, unresponsive, and at times quite rude in their communication and attitude. When we needed assistance or had questions, we did not feel that our concerns were handled with the level of courtesy or responsiveness expected from a hotel. The overall attitude of the staff made us feel unwelcome and significantly affected our stay.

The beachfront location is awesome—on the rustic stand‑outlets you can soak up the beach vibe. The Tiki Bar and the restaurant have flair and invite you to linger. There are also other restaurants within walking distance on the beach, so it’s varied ;). The pool is perfect for families. The small garden is very well maintained. The rooms/huts are simple and functional. The originally booked family rooms were not up to date, so we arranged an upgrade for an extra fee. Overall, we had a great time. Thanks to the whole crew—everyone was very friendly and helpful! The offered family rooms are not up to date, cramped, and really basic, which is why we requested an upgrade. Also, the description needs correcting—there is no sea view from the garden by the pool.
