The staff were lovely—very pleasant and helpful! But the new flooring in every hallway and room made it hard to ignore the creaks and footsteps from the room above us, even though the renovations seemed like they should have addressed this.

The location, parking, and reception staff were all fine. It would help to list a washing machine and microwave in the lobby. The lack of a proper restaurant meant breakfast was just a small eating area with very limited food, which really lowered my rating. There was no bar either, so the hotel’s description and photos need updating. My room was okay but cramped because of the huge bed, and the rugs were dirty. We knew there was no lift, but that was annoying; we chose an upstairs room to avoid the bar noise, only to find the bar closed.

The location and vintage vibe were great, but parking was tight and there was no back exit to the overflow lot. Gluten‑free options at breakfast were scarce, so adding oatmeal packets would be a welcome improvement.
