“Although the room was a hugh disappointment, the lobby area did provide continuous snacks.”
We only used one of the two beds, which was fine, and the location was chosen for its proximity to our travels. However, despite the whole hotel being under renovation, we were assigned one of the two remaining rooms that still needed work: broken blinds, unclean floors, a sofa with sand under the cushions, a rusty stove‑combination with dirty tin foil under the coils, and the worst issue was the security night lights outside the building that turned the room into daylight because there were no blackout curtains. We had to buy black form boards from the dollar store and tape them with painter’s tape to darken the space, which made a huge difference. I question why we had to end up in such a room; I’m sure it’ll be great after renovations, but they could have notified us earlier so we could choose another place.
I appreciated that the hotel was a small-town spot and the personal service was very good.
“Great place with a great price! All the ladies working here were so nice and can give you ideas of places to visit and e”
A solid choice for a reasonably priced stay near Traverse City, offering a large double room with a spacious bathroom.
“Will stay again”
The room was very clean and had every amenity you could need, including a microwave and refrigerator, and it’s next to a gas station/party store—super convenient. When we checked in, a note told us to grab a bag behind the door with our name on it; inside were our key and snacks—talk about a small‑town vibe. The water pressure was weak and it took forever to get hot water. The coffee pot was on the table far from an outlet, which we only realized after filling it with water; please put the cord on the table next to the pot so guests know it’s not plugged in. More outlets and a small closet would also be nice.
“Just had a short overnight stay but everything was great!”
The location was quiet and felt very safe.
