“Non si merita le recensioni fatte”
I hesitated after reading the mixed reviews but followed my gut and booked, and despite the rooms not being ultra‑modern they were still roomy, welcoming, clean and comfy; the Italian‑style breakfast at the bar was fine for the price, though I arrived at 9:45 am only to find the kitchen had closed at 9:30 am and they refused my request for a cold plate of ham, mozzarella or melon, which would have earned them a perfect score.
As always, people make all the difference, and from the start a young woman proved to be the highlight of the service. I can’t say anything was missing, but the breakfast buffet could use a review in how it’s presented.
“Castello di Perano”
The service and staff were excellent, and the food was great. I just didn’t have time to enjoy the pool.
“Difficult”
There was nothing to praise, but the lack of an elevator made the stairs a hassle, and the so‑called air conditioning didn’t meet expectations.
“ORRIBILE DA NON RIPETERE”
The pool was a small plus – quiet, though not very large and run by an external company, not included in the room rate. The air‑conditioning was practically useless, so we swelled with heat; the bed was uncomfortable, the pillows worse, and the blinds were broken, leaving us in darkness. In the room we also found a few dead insects on the floor. The corridor smelled sharp and nauseating. Breakfast was awful, essentially nonexistent – just two plain croissants and a few slices of toast with a bit of jam; there was nothing savory at all. We were pushed into a tiny, dirty lounge next to a bar where elderly patrons played cards. Overall, the value for money was terrible.
