“Prima hotel”
I loved the terrace and breakfast, and there were no other issues.
“We had a nice time but wouldn’t recommend”
The spot was perfect as a base to explore Tuscany and Val D’Orcia, the terrace and pool offered spectacular views, and the staff at La Chuisa happily arranged extra activities like a fantastic truffle‑hunting experience. We arrived on a Sunday night for a three‑night stay, went to the terrace for a pre‑dinner drink, but every staff member—including the owners, who were busy with a large group—ignored us. I eventually went to reception to ask for attention. The food was wonderful but the service was inconsistent and ruined the overall experience, so we cancelled our Tuesday evening dinner reservation. The cuisine and especially the service did not live up to La Chuisa’s claim of being among the top 10 % of restaurants worldwide. The bed was very comfortable, but the room was rather dark and the furnishings were tired and needed a refresh. The bathroom was a different story: it was very old (the giant whirlpool bath dates back to 1992‑5), had cracked tiles, looked a bit grimy, and had not been updated for about thirty years. There was no separate shower, only a mixer‑tap shower from the bath. No staff or owners ever introduced themselves or checked in to see if we were okay; they showed no interest in making us feel welcome, which was very odd. We had a wonderful few days in Tuscany, but the accommodation didn’t enhance it. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend La Chuisa for independent travellers; it seems aimed more at large American groups who come for cooking classes and organised activities.
“All’arrivo in struttura ( in orario per il check in) la stanza non era pronta, e abbiamo dovuto aspettare 2 ore: nel fri”
The room was not as promised in the purchase contract.
The location was great, the room was very spacious and beautiful, the hotel itself, the pool and the view were all fantastic.
“Super consigliato”
The location was enchanting, relaxing, and had a magnificent view. The room was quiet, comfortable, and welcoming. The bathroom was a bit dated but pleasant. The discovery that left me speechless was the restaurant where we ate divine food—a well‑crafted cuisine that didn’t forget tradition. Truly superb. A few minor improvements would help, such as the pool’s back area and providing mosquito‑repellent products for the pool area.
