The large room with great facilities was perfect for the office work I had to finish right after arriving, and I chose to have breakfast in the room, which was very convenient. The bar/restaurant served excellent food and offered a good selection of real ales.

The place was very clean, the food was delicious, the shower was powerful, and it was peaceful. The only issue was that the mattress was hard.

It was clean and convenient for a one‑night stay, and the continental breakfast in the fridge was excellent and a lovely surprise. It wasn’t as smart as I had expected, but it was still quite sufficient for one night.

This pub does everything right: good food, good ale, comfort and atmosphere, and friendly, helpful staff. The bedroom had everything and was very pleasant to be in.

The food and staff were very friendly, breakfast was all set out in the room with lovely coffee also available there. The lamb and beef kofte were well worth having, and the onion rings were amazing. The pillows were the downfall; they were very uncomfortable, and if they had been comfortable, Plum Pudding would have scored a 10.
