“Inizio perfetto per il nostro viaggio in Irlanda”
The hotel is a charming spot in a quiet Dublin neighbourhood, close to the DART and bus stops that we used for our three‑day city break. The room was very spacious, and the breakfast, which was included, was fantastic—mixing à‑la‑carta items with buffet options. The value for money is great, especially being practically in central Dublin with excellent breakfast. The reading room was lovely, offering drinks and biscuits. The staff were very friendly and even let us check in early, without the extra charge that was supposedly required, in a room like ours that was already ready. I would improve the air‑conditioning in the breakfast area; the glass veranda is charming, but on sunny days it can get a bit warm.
The front common room was pleasant, offering tea time, coffee, cake, and a selection of wines for purchase, and it’s close to the train station for easy access to Dublin City. However, the shower pan overflowed, there was no A/C in the room, and the bed lacked a top sheet.
“Nice place, but not quite what we expected.”
The staff were lovely, breakfast was great, and the location was good too; the lounge room is really nice as well. However, we booked two rooms with a “garden view” and instead saw a lot of concrete, while the other room had no window at all. The beds were also very hard.
The staff were helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. I expected a larger room, and the term 'superior' gave me a different impression; showering in the bathtub was uncomfortable, and having to control the shower with a button in the bedroom was very inconvenient.
“Beautiful and luxurious. Great staff. Felt like royalty.”
Breakfast was good, the service was professional, and the room was wonderfully appointed with plenty of space, a comfy couch, and USB‑A charging ports on both sides of the bed. The bed could have been a Queen Size for the room’s dimensions, and the existing duvet seemed a bit worn. In the bathroom, the open shower caused water to splash onto the walkable floor, the hot/cold tap was not centered on a neutral temperature, and the hydronic heater in the lounge worked for a while before stopping.
