“I was completely disgusted and slept in my car”
There was no TV remote, the toilet didn’t work, and the shower/bathroom was filthy.

It was cheap, but the no‑refund policy let me down; after a late‑night car arrival, my husband couldn’t roll up the passenger window, yet the next morning the window was untouched, which oddly calmed me about the location. The lamps had no bulbs, the TV powered on but lacked a remote, the headboard was detached from the wall, blood stains covered the floor and walls, the deadbolt was broken off the door, the peephole was missing, and someone had shoved toilet paper into the open hole.

When I arrived to check in, the clerk complained about someone else’s room and said I should look elsewhere, so I didn’t stay at the hotel. All of it.

The hotel was available, but it was dirty and rundown: the bed was unmade and the sheets were filthy, even after I told the front desk and left; when I returned, the same dirty sheets were on the bed again, and there was a hole in the shower wall. Overall, a rundown place.

Cheap, but at night the place is full of drug dealers, pimps, and prostitutes, while during the day nobody is around.
