“for the price you pay, the place is terrible”

The room was exceptionally small, and the bathroom/shower was so cramped that you could barely stand upright; the noise level was terrible, with every slight sound amplified—any water usage in another room made it feel like rushing pipes in ours, and at night movements in other rooms sounded like furniture being dragged across the room.
