A really nice room with comfortable beds, better than I expected, but breakfast was really sparse, nothing hot at all, barely anything to choose from, and I expected much more from a manor hotel.

The interior and surroundings, both inside and just outside, were nicely designed. We were offered an upgrade to a cooler room without asking. The town of Laxå felt depressing, and it was dead on a Saturday evening. It would have been nice to have a glass of wine at the hotel in the evening.

The staff were personal, friendly, and welcoming! The atmosphere was calm and harmonious. The room was very fresh, with a clean bathroom and kitchenette. Breakfast in the dining room was pleasant, with a good buffet that was constantly replenished. It was affordable and definitely worth recommending the manor hotel; we’ll gladly return! Nothing to criticize.

The two rooms on the upper floor are spacious (Julietta and Maria); we had a room with a great shower, excellent. In the other room there was a bathtub without a curtain, a bit less practical. Breakfast offers a few choices. It’s very quiet (except for the beeping of the lock system :-)). The house is very beautiful. We didn’t like the décor; it felt too one‑sidedly antique, but that’s a matter of taste. What we found unfortunate: the garden is huge and has a lot of potential. We also had great weather and would have liked to sit outside a bit more; a bench, armchair, lounge chairs, or something would have been great. In one of our rooms (Julietta) a lamp hangs directly in front of the kitchenette so low that we keep bumping our heads. At breakfast there are many pre‑packed and processed items; it would be nice to have a selection of unprocessed foods such as oats, nuts, plain quark, etc. The lock system uses numeric codes and produces an annoying beeping sound, which we found very irritating.
