The welcome was very friendly and warm. The setting is pleasant in a beautiful forested and mountainous region, with a lovely village nearby. There’s a restaurant on site and the breakfast is generous.

The service was very personal, the rooms were clean, the breakfast great, the room and bathroom spacious, the mattress super comfortable, the value for money spot on, the air conditioning perfect and the terrace lets you watch the sunrise surrounded by nature. Everything was excellent, nothing I didn’t like.

Olga was kind and her cooking was good. I wish there was a TV available, and the pillow was a bit too high for my wife.

I had a short but wonderful stay at Hostal de l'Aigua in Sant Llorenç de la Muga. My room was comfy, roomy, with plenty of storage to make it feel like a mini‑home for a few days. The Catalan breakfast was amazing, with enough food to fill you up. I also had lunch there and it was delicious. The River Muga is literally across the road, perfect for walks and swims. The best part was that it’s pet‑friendly – I had a room with a lovely terrace that was great for both of us, even staying out on the terrace under the porch while it rained. My dog loved the stay so much she didn’t want to leave. Olga was very kind, helpful and friendly, and it was great that she remembered my name throughout the visit. The only downside was that my stay wasn’t longer.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, a true haven of peace in a restorative environment. Olga is an exceptional host: caring, attentive, and always looking after her guests. You feel welcomed immediately and at home. The food is a real treat: everything is homemade, with quality ingredients, and the portions are generous – a real pleasure at every meal. The rooms are classic, without TV, but in such a calming place you realize you don’t need one. They are impeccably clean and very pleasant. It’s a place to disconnect, recharge, and fully enjoy the present moment. We’ll return without hesitation and highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for calm, authenticity, and friendliness. Thank you, Olga, for your hospitality and kindness.
