Hotel BRILANT ANTIK City Center

“Great location, lovely staff, more expensive than advertised.”

The hotel sits right next to the city centre, which is super convenient. The room was comfortable and spacious, with plenty of seating and a fantastic shower. The staff let us check in early, which was a big plus. However, the room cost was higher when we paid at the property than what was advertised, ending up 50 € more than we expected. Breakfast was fine, but because I was pregnant I couldn’t eat many items, so my choices were limited. The hotel is close enough to a mosque that you can hear the call to prayer at all times, so keep that in mind.

“Da non rifare”

The only acceptable thing was the location. Everything else was really bad: the triple room was the size of a single, we slept two nights and the rooms were re‑made and cleaned the same way, even the bathroom had a broken shower and a window that wouldn’t close. The breakfast, included in the high price, was terrible. On the second day the coffee machine for espresso and cappuccino didn’t work and we were left with nothing. The room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator. On the first day the cleaning staff left the room window open, and it rained, soaking the bed under the window. We called the hotel manager, who said: “turn the mattress to the dry side, I’ll bring new sheets.”

The location was fine. But there was a water leak from the ceiling that wasn’t fixed during the three‑day stay. A broken shower door caused the bathroom floor to flood every time we showered. The TV didn’t work, and the lighting was low‑wattage, like Mogadishu in 1991. It felt sad, neglected, and in need of a complete overhaul to be acceptable.

“Delusione per un 4 stelle.”

Camere ampie e pulite, bagno e doccia grande e funzionale. A me e ai colleghi è stato fatto pagare (appena arrivati!) un 10% in più di quanto stabilito con la prenotazione su , adducendo come motivazione che loro applicano un cambio diverso da quello ufficiale. Di fronte alla nostra protesta, dopo tre giorni ci hanno restituito una cifra misera. La colazione inizia alle 8.00, ma per noi che partecipavamo ad una Conferenza era troppo tardi. Allora ci hanno permesso di anticipare alle 7.30, ma con metà scelta del menù breakfast. Alla richiesta di stampare un documento, hanno trovato scuse di stampante rotta e computer vecchio e non hanno fatto. Inoltre, l'hotel non ha ascensore e questo non era indicato nella prenotazione. Insomma, certamente non rispondente ad un 4 stelle

“It was perfect—a peaceful atmosphere, different from the usual. The staff provided excellent service; they were very fri”

The antique ambiance is lovely and peaceful. There is nothing to complain about.
