“A calm and peaceful stay, in a charming lodging.”
The Guest House offers two lodgings: the older charming guest house made of bamboo and rattan, plus a modern de luxe addition that opened a month ago, and a restaurant called Enchanting Majuli with an extensive menu for breakfast and all meals that can be delivered to your room; the place sits in a quiet leafy lane, a short walk from the village of Garamur where local shops and restaurants are, and the owner Monjit was helpful and attentive, arranging visits to Satras, a mask workshop, and a pottery‑making village, and they now have Wi‑Fi.
The ambience was very good and the owner and staff behaved wonderfully, so I would recommend staying there; nothing else to add.
“Loved our stay, if I visit Majuli again, I will definitely stay here. Let's keep India clean.”
1) The owner is always smiling and happy to help the guests. We reached their about 2 Hr before our Check In time, but he still accommodated us nicely. 2) He easily arranges bicycles or two-wheelers for the guests. We loved the bicycle tour that he guided on the first day of our trip. 3) He has drawn maps of the local interesting places and helps the guests by telling their significance. 4) The in-house restaurant is definitely welcome. 5) After Check Out they even dropped us at the taxi stand which was a nice gesture. Nothing to complain at all
I found the stay very comfortable, the place very nice, and the owner Monjit extremely friendly; communication was great and the kitchen made excellent food, and any requests I had were fulfilled.
“De-clutter your mind, slow down, connect with the basics by staying at Risong Family Guest House”
The people were friendly, the place was simple, and they welcomed strangers without judgment. I didn’t find anything I didn’t like about my stay.
