“A disappointing stay. Made better by a few members of staff.”
The property had a beautiful beach front view and looks incredible as you walk in. There were also a few staff members who made our stay much more amenable such as Chithara the housekeeping manager. There is unfortunately a lot wrong with this property. We had a number of issues. We had booked three room for four nights for a family holiday. The first issue was our first night at dinner, we were given a menu with a number of crosses next to pretty much every cocktail on the menu, when asked why, they said none of these cocktails were available. If you are paying and staying at a 5* resort you would assume that all food and beverages would be available, however this was not the case. Secondly the majority of staff here took a very long time to respond, we had a broken AC unit in one room, this took more than 12 hours for a member of the team to actually come to the room and fix it, we had a remote control misplaced by the housekeeping team, this also took more than 12 hours to be rectified. The response time for many queries were not only very long but also very confusing as well. One of the bedrooms that were booked had an infestation of ants and cockroaches all over the bed, the underneath of the bed was broken and the room was changed but this is a huge inconvenience to pack everything up and move room. Again not what you would expect of a 5* resort. The only thing that saved this stay were the wonderful beach boys, who looked after us well and ensured we had a pleasant stay on the beach by making our beds and helping us with drinks. We will definitely not be coming back and will be advising all friends and family who want to visit Pasikudah not to stay at this resort
“Nice beach. Friendly staff. The resort is tired and needs lot of work to re-invigorate. Wouldn’t recommend.”
The beach was beautiful and the staff were very friendly, and the room was spacious. However, the property needs significant maintenance: it’s tired, the boardwalks are rickety and uneven, and the pool is cloudy. The buffet items were mostly cold, except for the pancake and egg stations with freshly cooked items. À‑la‑carte orders took over an hour to be served and were also cold. The ambience at night was poor, and the Bayview bar didn’t have the drinks listed on their menu. We ended up eating at other nearby resorts and local restaurants instead.
“Jolie pour 1 nuit”
The room is amazing, the pool is really beautiful, the space is great, and the beach is magnificent. The hotel is under renovation for the price we paid, and we had to wait a long time for the room. The breakfast food was not impressive compared to the hotel’s price quality.
The staff were extremely kind, and the location is magical—an absolute paradise in this part of Sri Lanka, ready to welcome guests with attention. The only downside was the waiting times for the à‑la‑carte kitchen.
“Excellent overall experience, food can be better!”
The location and ambience are really good, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and tidy. The food could be better; for the price they’re charging, the buffet was mediocre, and they use the same batter for pancakes and hoppers, which tastes weird.
