Hotel Margot sits on Level 2 of a large apartment‑style block right across from Casa Batlló, a setup you’ll see often in Barcelona. It’s only a 5‑minute stroll to the nearest metro and bus stops, and the building’s on Passeig de Gràcia, a wide avenue lined with striking architecture. We felt safe walking around at night, and there are plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants nearby. Our room was spacious and very quiet, with a firm mattress and comfortable pillows just how we like them. The hotel also offers a large, cozy common area for reading and relaxing. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, especially Veronica, who gave us maps and useful tips about attractions and tourist buses, making sightseeing a breeze. Overall, we felt welcomed, comfortable and relaxed during our three‑night stay, thanks to the excellent location, quiet and spacious room, and friendly service. One thing to note: the hotel has no courtyard, even though some photos made it seem otherwise. Also, a hot‑water kettle isn’t included by default; we only learned from staff shortly before checkout that it could be requested, which would have been useful to know earlier.

The place is well situated, the bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly. The room, though interior, was welcoming. It’s not a hotel, it’s a hostel priced like a hotel. It’s on the first floor of a residential‑office building and it was a bit hard to find. They told us they had a 24‑hour reception, but we had to wait about 15 minutes for the door to open when we returned in the evening. The evening felt a little noisy because it’s right next to the reception. You had to leave the key at reception when you left the hostel.
