The only thing that impressed us was the lovely nature, but staying at Orka Lotus Beach turned out to be a huge disappointment. Even though the hotel’s setting and the sea were nice, the service fell far short of what we expected, the food was bland and repetitive, and the cleaning was seriously lacking, with common areas and the restaurant not meeting hygiene standards. The staff were indifferent and preferred to brush off issues rather than solve them, and the rooms we paid for never arrived—we were given a tiny room for four people. We feel the price didn’t match what we received, and aside from the nice scenery, almost nothing pleased us; we won’t be returning and advise future bookers to read recent reviews carefully.

There was almost nothing positive except the clean, cool sea. I had to write a negative review for the first time about a Turkish hotel. I moved from Fethiye to Marmaris, staying at Orka Lotus Beach. The place was filthy and old; I should have read all reviews before booking. The staff were unwelcoming, only the security seemed friendly. The building was in terrible condition. The pool and grounds were unkempt, and many chickens roamed the area—hard to understand how a 5‑star hotel could have that. You eat and then have to shoo the chickens away. The restaurant food was disappointing. A separate issue was no security on the slides; kids rode 3–4 at a time, and they would tumble into the crowded pool. It might appeal to kids, but I hope no one gets hurt. I do not recommend this place at all.

The view from the location was amazing. The staff were friendly and always ready to serve drinks. Everything was within easy reach of the city center, and the beach and restaurant were very close. Again, the view was fantastic.

The food was great, so we never felt hungry. The swimming pools were fabulous, and the staff were helpful and very kind. Thanks. The maids were loudly chatting with each other early in the morning while we were sleeping, and they didn’t seem to notice what we were doing in the room at that time.
