They welcomed our two large dogs without any fuss and even suggested an alternative spot in case the room felt cramped, which we appreciated. Even without a formal pet policy we felt a bit uneasy at first, but both the rooms and the common areas were clean and comfortable, and the owner and other guests kept a friendly, respectful distance. The breakfast we ordered was generous, tasty and left us satisfied. The shared lounge had games, a kitchen, a corner of the restaurant filled with manga, plus a keyboard and a guitar, so we could entertain ourselves while staying. Instructions were posted in two languages and the cute displays added to the cozy vibe. Right outside was a ski slope and a wide lawn where the dogs romped happily, and the surrounding mountains and nearby river made for pleasant walks. The only downsides were that the stair steps could have been a bit wider – the dogs were a little nervous going up and down – and the hallway floor creaked noticeably when we walked, perhaps because we had large dogs with us.
