“Perfect village - hotel needs work”
Wifi was choked down, there was zero staff on premises, the restaurant and bar were closed, the vibe was creepy, and the floor and bed were seriously slanted.

The location was good and the furnishings were interesting, yet the overhead light blinked a couple of times before stopping completely, leaving only the nightstand lamp and the bathroom light for nighttime visibility. The bathroom was tiny, the shower floor “flexed” when you stood on it, and floor tiles were broken. The furniture was nice but too large for the room, making it hard to move around the bed, and the floor sloped from one side of the room to the other. I wasn’t a fan of the self‑check‑in and check‑out.

The hotel was beautifully restored and a short walk to pubs, restaurants, cafés, and shops. I had hoped the pub or restaurant would be open during our stay for a nightcap, which would have been nice. Hopefully next time.

The spot is perfect, and the breakfast at Cup of Joy was a highlight.
