I was disappointed by the lack of service after a big event at the Mercedes Benz Stadium; the city of Atlanta seemed to shut down, with no restaurants open and the hotel bar closed when I returned. I left a power cord for my CPAP machine and tried to reach the front staff by phone, text, and email, but they never answered. They claimed they would check with housekeeping and call back, but that never happened. I spoke to five different people, then the Front Desk Manager, who promised the General Manager would call me the next day. Two days passed with no response. Finally I asked for the General Manager’s email, sent a message, and still received nothing after three days. The staff were poorly managed and indifferent. As a Hilton Diamond Member for almost eight years, this was my second disastrous Marriott experience, and I will never stay with them again.

The staff were polite and very helpful, and breakfast was excellent. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the room had everything I needed. The view was great, so I will definitely stay again and highly recommend. The only downside was the unexpected valet fee, but the staff’s professionalism made it worthwhile.

The location was fantastic for visiting the Georgia Aquarium, as we were—directly across the street. The hotel staff were kind, attentive, and very helpful. However, you can’t pull a vehicle up to the front of the hotel because it’s on the road with a bike path in front; we had to go around the block twice before realizing we must use the Valet Parking garage to enter or unload luggage. Clearer signage would help. Our Uber drivers also struggled to pick up or drop off, since the Uber point sign is in the bike lane out front. The room itself wasn’t special, and there was no night light in the bathroom, so I had to flip on the full light to see in the middle of the night.

Employees were very pleasant and helpful, especially Tye in housekeeping who went above and beyond to assist, as did the front desk. The bathroom had a musty odor, and it took at least 10 to 15 minutes for the hot water to warm up.
