The spot was super central, but the room was really small and the bathroom was uncomfortable.

The location was outstanding, the place was elegant, spacious, and quiet in our apartment (Carlo Alberto) overlooking the courtyard. It was simple to use and effective, and the bed was very comfortable. The lift to the first floor needs fixing for older people with heavy luggage! For a week‑long stay, having a washing machine with dryer would be handy, but I understand most guests don’t stay long enough for that to matter.

The location is in a low‑traffic area, so it’s quiet and close to Porta Nuova station. Getting into the room felt like a thrilling treasure hunt with many wrong directions, which wasn’t fun; inside the room there was no hair dryer, the TV didn’t work, and the check‑out instructions even told me to TAKE MY OWN SHOVEL (the first time this has happened). Also, it’s not always possible to leave luggage in storage if you arrive before the room is ready, which caused some trouble. The tourist tax had to be paid in cash and I didn’t receive any receipt.
