The public areas were pretty good and the staff excellent. Breakfast was more than decent, and the evening light meal—mushroom soup—was especially tasty. My single room had old furniture and felt noticeably tired; for instance, a drawer in the bedside chest wouldn’t stay closed, raising concerns about a nighttime mishap. The main issue was the unpleasant odor from the bathroom drains, which really put me off the hotel.
