“Единственное, чего немного не хватило — какой-нибудь персональной записки с именем, было бы мило получить небольшое прив”
We stayed at the hotel at the beginning of September, on the first floor in a room with a private pool. The rooms were new, clean, and everything was thought out to the smallest detail. The bedding was changed every two days, towels every day. The room also had bathrobes, though one of ours lacked a belt. I really liked the spacious entrance area—you can lay out a suitcase without it getting in the way, and there’s no dampness or humidity from the clothes, which is especially nice in this climate. Every day water was brought to the room, sometimes even two bottles. That’s handy for hot weather—you don’t have to keep buying and carrying water from the store. Overall, the hotel met almost all our food and drink needs, so we never left the city during the week. The staff were all very friendly and spoke good English, so it was comfortable just to exchange a few words. Unfortunately, one receptionist left a very different impression. The walk to the main restaurant goes through the reception, and we almost always stopped by, said hello, but usually got silence and a rather dissatisfied look. Compared to the other staff who were always smiling and welcoming, this stood out. The team works from the morning and were always smiling and attentive. By 7 am in the open part of the restaurant they were setting out the cutlery and preparing for breakfast—huge thanks to them for that effort ❤️ The hotel has two restaurants and two bars. The food was good: there was always a choice, plenty of meat, one type of fish, usually in tomato sauce, a wide selection of salads and sweets. I would have liked a bit more seafood and fruit. After a week the food got a little repetitive, but overall it was enough for a vacation. The restaurant constantly brought water, kept the tables clean, and cleared empty plates quickly. For a hotel of this level, I feel it’s missing a few bath amenities—disposable toothbrushes, dry wipes, etc. I’d also like more branding of the hotel itself and more details in the welcome booklet. The tap water was a bit salty, but that’s probably an island thing, since we encountered it elsewhere too. Walking to the sea takes about 5 minutes, but there are no good equipped beaches nearby, so I’d definitely recommend a car. We went to the beach clubs NōE and Banana Bay—chosen mainly for the sandy entry into the sea. The loungers cost from 25 €, and the drive from the hotel takes about 40–50 minutes. There are also simpler beaches about 15 minutes by car—no shower, bar, or toilet, but loungers start at 10 €.
