I had a beautiful stay here and I can wholeheartedly recommend this homestay. The room was lovely and very comfortable, and I appreciated having hot water, which made everything even more relaxing. What truly made the experience special was the family. They were incredibly kind, generous, and welcoming from the very first moment. Sometimes they would randomly bring me a fresh coconut or some fruit, which was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture. Their daughters are also lovely, and the whole atmosphere felt warm, genuine, and homey. It wasn’t just accommodation; it felt like being welcomed into a family. Overall, this was a really special experience for me, and I’m already looking forward to coming back.

I would highly recommend staying in this beautiful place. The room itself is absolutely stunning. There’s hot water and AC too. What I enjoyed most was how friendly and caring the owner is, and the location is great as well!

“Very good”

I stayed for 2 weeks in this room some months ago, and came back for one night yesterday when passing by. The room is very clean and comfy, there is everything you need. They can also provide dinner and breakfast for a good price. We had amazing curries and snacks! It is located close to a beach called Wild Beach (where you can find a good restaurant, Wild Beach Cafe) and 15 min by walk from Midigama center. There are also some nice walks or bicycle rides to do around the house in the middle of the nature. A bus is passing by next to the house that serves every city or surf spot on the coast. Tuktuks are also easy to find there. Samil and his family were very welcoming, they gave us good advice about what to do around. They are all super nice and caring, and very reactive. We had good chats together. I will come back for sure.

“Hidden gem for surf enthousiast!”

From the moment we arrived, the family running the place welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home. The rooms were roomy, with plenty of space for bags, and the bed was comfortable. A large shared area offered food and drinks. The family’s genuine kindness stood out, especially when they taught us how to cook traditional Sri Lankan dishes during cooking classes, which added to our memories and skills. Although we booked only one night, we ended up staying a month. They had just put the listing online, still working on details when we stayed. I recommend this spot 100 % for anyone wanting spacious accommodation in a prime location.
