“Hôtel a déconseiller”
Apart from its location close to the train station and city center and its quietness, this hotel has no strengths. The hotel is large, high‑ceilinged, and its corridors are labyrinthine with faded paint. The rooms are small, the paint is dirty, the furniture is dusty, and some have no windows and smell musty because they’re closed. We were moved to another room for these reasons, but our small window faced a wall, the curtain was very dirty, and a slight musty odor persisted. At arrival we were given two sheets, two towels, two toothbrushes, two small bottles, and two biscuits. We had to make the bed ourselves, only to find that the two sheets were for a single bed while the bed was for two people. The staff told us those were the only sheets available. The hotel also hosts very few guests, which makes the place feel eerie. The reception hall reflects the hotel’s image—repellent.
