The place offered a wide range of extras like vinyl records and a coffee machine, but the shower’s water flow was weak and there was a strong, cheap smell that made us open the windows to freshen up.

The self‑check‑in and amenities area were neat and efficient, and we loved the themed rooms, record player, and overall vibe—it was super cute! However, the soundproofing was poor so we heard people walking above us, some furniture looked worn, fixtures were loose, lights malfunctioned, and other issues made the place feel overpriced. We also found leftover items from previous guests, like empty booze bottles and socks, indicating housekeeping wasn’t thorough, and the mattress was lumpy and needed replacement.

Nice private patio and hot tub. Bathroom very tight especially for 2 people

The location was spot‑on for my visit to the Bearsville Theatre, and I loved everything—nothing to complain about.

We spent a fantastic girls’ weekend at The Herwood Inn; the King Suite was beautifully appointed, super comfy, and packed with thoughtful touches. Adam was incredibly responsive and made everything feel seamless. One of the best moments was unwinding in the courtyard’s cedar wood tub after dinner—it capped the night perfectly. The spot is close to Woodstock’s shops and restaurants yet still peaceful and relaxing, so we'd gladly return.
