I loved the beautiful gardens, it was perfect for my small wedding ceremony! My request for bubbles was forgotten. It wasn't the end of the world as I had brought a bottle anyway.

Breakfast was individually catered and served, the room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The garden is nearby but not beautiful.

The location is perfect. The furniture is outdated, the room smells, and breakfast was not as expected.

For our visit, the location was fantastic. Sam was very helpful and sent us a video showing how to access the property because we were checking in late. Upon arrival, Acorn Cottage felt warm and welcoming, exactly as shown on the website. The beds were very comfortable. The fireplace was lovely and we used it nightly. Breakfasts were excellent, served on time, piping hot, by the lovely Gloria. The décor was pretty and tranquil, and we loved the old Cape Cottage wardrobes, etc. The cottage was very quiet and private, with a small covered patio and garden furniture. Unfortunately, on the first morning the shower water was lukewarm; when we told Sam, she switched from the solar geyser to the normal one, which fixed it. The shower pressure was also weak. The sofa was very uncomfortable. The kitchen, though spotless, was very basic and sparsely equipped, and could use a bit of updating, but it served its purpose. A coffee plunger would be a much‑wanted addition.

The bed was comfortable, but the room only had lamps that worked, no other lights.
