The hotel’s proximity to the hospital makes early appointments easy, but the room next door kept people talking loudly on their phones about water levels and a boat ramp well past midnight, and this isn’t the first time such noise has happened.

There was no breakfast offered, and the bathroom was a mess: the roof and walls were dirty, no fixtures worked, the bulb was out, and black mold covered the ceiling.

The stay was adequate for a single night, with a roomy bedroom and bathroom, but a hole in the ceiling let a creature crawl in during the night.

I appreciated the location because it’s within walking distance of the Townsville Shopping Centre and a short walk to the bus stop, which made catching the bus to JCU for a visit to my daughter straightforward; the room stayed spotless thanks to daily cleaning and fresh supplies, the staff were consistently friendly and kind, and I liked having a washing machine, dryer, and laundry power available.

The place is well‑situated and inexpensive, with no issues to report.
