I had a reservation, but when I arrived at reception they spoke rudely and said I had no reservation at all and that there was no key. The reception staff was rude; we were on the road at 7 am, planning a neutering campaign, and the gentleman said there was no reservation, then said, “look here, if there is a key…”

Check‑in opened at a time that suited me, and the owner offered complimentary water and some breakfast items because of the hassles we faced. When we were put in a room with terrible condition, they moved us and finally added bedding after we complained. However, I had thought we’d get a double room and a single, but each room actually had three single beds. The cleaning was awful—no sheets or pillowcases on arrival, stained and smelly pillows, and one bathroom had no water while the air‑conditioner vent was clogged with a snack pack and towels. Both bathrooms had a hole in the wall leading into the bedroom, the shower stalls were dirty and stained, and the windows wouldn’t lock.

The towels and bedding were white. Unfortunately the accommodations were terrible; I’m fine staying in simple places, but cleanliness must be a priority. The room was dirty, the bathroom had no drain, the pillow was disgusting, I asked for a new pillowcase to see if it would help, there was a strong foul smell in the room. The only good thing was the bedding and towels, which were white, but the floor was sticky and dirty, poorly washed, poorly maintained, there was no soap available, and the ceiling fan was so dirty I didn’t dare to turn it on.

The price and location were decent, and having a restaurant on site was a plus, but the pastries looked like they'd been sitting there for days. The room was dirty, the bathroom was filthy, and the bath towel was covered in stains—really gross. Even though it’s a trucker stop, it shouldn’t feel that disgusting; truckers are people too. I won’t be returning.
