Shom Hotel with Terraca

A wonderful hotel in the historic centre; despite dense development and narrow streets there is parking; the view from the terrace is very beautiful; the room is clean with good bedding; note that the mattresses are firm, which may be hard for some, but it was fine for us; breakfasts are tasty and varied, including eggs with sausages and pastries; the two mornings we had breakfast, the contents differed; the staff are wonderful and very friendly; if we come again we will stay here.

“Lovely stay with character and kind staff”

I loved this place—decorated with a charming Bukhara vibe, rooftop breakfast overlooking the old town, staff super helpful: they printed my visa, handled laundry, and arranged a midnight Yandex car for my train; no complaints, just wish they had blankets for chilly terrace mornings during breakfast.

The hotel informed me one hour before check in that my room wasn't available and that they relocated me to another hotel run by them. While the other hotel was okay and mistakes happen and this would have been fine: 1. If was informed in due time (not one hour before check-in when I'm not able to browse other options) 2. If I received a discount or a free stay since I'm not getting what I agreed to pay initially (I had to pay the full price of my initial booking) 3. If I hadn't messaged the hotel a month before my stay asking them if my reservation was confirmed (to which they said it was) and messaging them that morning informing them of my arrival time
