“Beautiful setting, luxurious accommodation and just lovely to be back.”
Breakfast was huge and tasty. Got married 40 years ago in Ambleside and Dalston Hall was where we spent our first night of married life. Lovely to be back. Didn’t need quite so much piped music but it didn’t kill us.
“Overnight stay”
The location is lovely, the staff are friendly, the room is comfortable and spacious, and the breakfast is excellent, though the Wi‑Fi in the dining room is a bit weak; otherwise, no complaints.
The service is excellent, the room is very nice, and the gluten‑free options are very good.
“Wonderful Stay”
Very friendly and welcoming arrival. Carl was available throughout our stay to assist with anything we required. His friendly professional manner was appreciated by our group. Carl gave us additional information on the Hall and also a short tour of the building after check in. The grounds are beautiful and the bedrooms spacious. We enjoyed the games room and bar area. Food provided was delicious both in the evening and at breakfast. Understandably in a very old building some items are tired and worn. It added to the atmosphere and experience in some areas. If I were to be picky a few finishing touches in the bathroom and bedroom areas could have been better. The carpet although clean was stained.
The manor house is beautiful, set on its own grounds, and the hosts are welcoming and went above and beyond for our comfort.
