The place is bright and clean, and it sits near hiking trails.

The location is ideal for exploring the area’s great hiking trails. The walls are thin, so I could hear multiple rooms playing music or watching TV, and the free breakfast is almost entirely sweet items, which isn’t suitable for people with dietary restrictions.

The spot was spot-on, right next to a bunch of eateries, but the beds were a nightmare—springs that hurt and pillows that were misshapen with clumps inside. I barely slept, and the curtains let in light all day because they were too thin.

The room was clean. The on‑site restaurant has outside seating. TV and cable were not available, and after two days they still hadn’t fixed it. Hot coffee wasn’t ready when I checked out at 4:47 am. Check‑out was delayed because the receptionist couldn’t print my receipt and had to call her supervisor for the procedure. The proximity to the County Emergency Building meant I heard night‑time sirens.
