The Jungle Lodge was a unique experience, and the kids absolutely adored the Dolce Vita. I’ll definitely return to Glamping Karuna next time I’m in El Nido. Thanks for making it unforgettable.

The views were nice, but the stay wasn’t worth it: almost no water for showers, no Wi‑Fi, and the staff tried to overcharge at checkout.

Ein atemberaubender Ausblick aufs Meer von der Terrasse und auch aus dem Bett durch die Riesen Fenster , oder besser gesagt durch die Wände aus Glass. Das Konzept habe ich irgendwie nicht 100% verstanden . Es gibt Karuna Villas und es gibt Karuna Glamping zu dem diese Jungle Lodge auch gehört. Alles befindet sich auf der gleichen Anlage, man nutzt dieselbe Rezeption die selbe SPA, das Restaurant den Pool etc. Der Transfer zum Flughafen aber vom gleichen Standort für die Karuna Villas Kunden für 2 Personen 1.200 PHP wir müssten aber dann 2.500PHP zahlen. Erklären konnte mir das keiner. Kommunikation mit der Rezeption läuft über WhatsApp. Die Reaktionszeiten sind sehr unterschiedlich. Sonst war die Rezeption beim einchecken total überfordert. Viel los , wenig Personal, wir fühlten uns nicht wirklich willkommen. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche war sehr schlecht. Eine Regulierung der Wassertemperatur nicht möglich. Die Tür zwischen den Zimmer und dem Bad konnte man nicht schließen. Wenn der Einfluss auf den Wasserdruck nicht möglich ist konnte ich noch verstehen, aber warum man die Tür nach unseren Hinweisen nicht repariert hat, nicht. Das Essen im Restaurant ist nur ein Durchschnitt. Fahren Sie einfach runter zum Mahagoni Beach Bar & Restaurant ( von einem Franzosen geführt) dort ist das essen deutlich besser. Nach dem wir schon ausgeheckt hatten erreichte mich eine komische Nachricht vom Hotel mit der Entschuldigung dass meine Kreditkarte doppelt belastet wurde. Kann ja mal auch ein Fehler passieren dachte ich mir und nachgefragt was die jetzt von mir noch benötigen. Keine Reaktion aber mehr vom Hotel. Fand ich sehr komisch

We stayed in the Jungle Lodge at Karuna El Nido (2 adults and 2 kids), and the property was immaculately maintained throughout our visit and a spectacular deck/view over the beach. The room was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked reliably—much appreciated on the humid days. Service was excellent. Ali at reception was incredibly accommodating, and having a dedicated WhatsApp chat for each room made everything effortless. We could message reception to arrange a shuttle to Town Square and request pickup when we were ready; even on short notice, the wait was usually only about 15 minutes. Also handy to organise massages. The on-site restaurant served delicious food, though dishes didn’t always arrive at the same time. We were catching a transfer and experienced a bit of a delay, so if you’re dining as a group, it’s worth allowing an extra 30 minutes. I was initially hesitant about ordering drinks with ice, but they use filtered water and have their own ice machine, which put me at ease. Happy Hour from 4–6pm was a highlight—great cocktails and a lovely atmosphere. The pool was refreshing and offered a beautiful vantage point for watching the sunset. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return. The main things to be aware of are the stairs, the water, and the Wi‑Fi. There are quite a lot of stairs throughout the property, though we ended up treating them as our daily exercise—especially after enjoying the restaurant’s food. We also had mostly cold showers with low water pressure; some hot water would eventually come through, but usually not until the third shower. Given the location, it wasn’t entirely unexpected, but still something to note. Wi‑Fi in the Jungle Lodge didn’t work for us, which we’d seen mentioned in another review. It didn’t bother us too much since we had the Tourist 80GB Globe call/data eSIM, and the Wi‑Fi at the restaurant worked well whenever we needed to connect
