The hotel is wonderfully quiet right in the middle of EGA Park. The hearty breakfast makes it a perfect starting point for exploring Erfurt, and I especially enjoyed my morning walk through the still‑closed park. Arriving at night was a bit tricky, but the directions were clear and the contact person was reachable.

Nice location if you’re visiting EGA Park, rooms are clean. However, you really need to be on foot and have time – the short routes are steep, not wheelchair‑friendly, and not easy with a suitcase. The path from the lodging to the breakfast room goes straight past the restaurant’s trash area, complete with full ash bins… The breakfast selection is limited, the staff’s attentiveness is low, and the restaurant’s cleanliness is mediocre (why isn’t the floor swept or mopped after a closed‑event evening and before breakfast? That doesn’t match the pre‑packed trays with cheese, etc.). A kettle or a small coffee machine in the room would be sensible given the distance to the breakfast venue. And what’s the purpose of the decommissioned fridge in the hallway on the ground floor (junk disposal?)?

The only good thing was the extensive breakfast and the pleasantly large bathroom. Everything else was bad. The location was a disaster for me because I had no chance to reach the accommodation by car; it was impossible. They suggested it was possible, but that was wrong! The failure was due to a doorman!!! Walking with a suitcase across the whole EGA grounds for ages, even at night, is simply not doable! Never again! When the front door falls, you end up in bed, so loud it’s unbearable and no one cares.

A very nice spot in the EGA Park, which you can enjoy alone in the evening. Access to the park and the hotel works smoothly.
