We had a very good stay in a very cozy, warm house; the hosts were two very friendly people with a pleasant demeanor. The location is simply superb, right in the old quarter, so when we go to Oloron‑Sainte‑Marie we won’t need to hunt for accommodation—Amphitryon will be obvious. The weather was the only downside, but that’s not the hosts’ fault 😉

The hosts were welcoming and available, offering advice on sites to visit and restaurants to try. Continental breakfast was included in the price. The first‑floor room with balcony overlooks a lovely garden, but our short stay of one night didn’t give us time to enjoy it. In October we had no trouble parking at the public lot in front of the cottage. The accommodation is in the upper part of the old town, so it would be good to note that for newcomers, as returning to the cottage requires strong calves.

The spot is great, parking right outside the building. Gerard, the host, was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was outstanding, and the room was spacious, immaculate, and had a small balcony with a garden view that was perfect for a drink. No complaints.

The hosts were exceptional, always attentive and eager to make sure we felt comfortable, offering plenty of local recommendations. The room was beautiful and fully equipped, including a mini‑fridge, a capsule coffee machine, and water on hand for any craving. The only issue was the pillow; its cylindrical shape was uncomfortable for us.
