The view of the Caldera from the bed was unbeatable, but the property could use a bit of updating in some areas to maintain its visual appeal, though it didn’t affect our stay.

All aspects matched expectations and were superb; the staff and owners were helpful and courteous, breakfast was extensive, delicious, and served in our room, the view was exceptional from every spot, the room and exterior hot tub were completely private, the room and bathroom were large, and the towels and toiletries were luxurious—if we return to Santorini, we’ll stay at Astarte again. The only downsides were the long sloping stairs down to the resort, which actually add to the view and privacy, and the in‑room refrigerator that wasn’t working well.
