The staff greeted us warmly right away, which was nice. The only downside is the road leading up to the place – it’s a dirt track that really needs to be paved or at least grave‑filled. On the plus side, the beach at Atalaia is just a short walk away.

From the moment we walked in we could see the staff took pride in keeping the rooms spotless and the bedding crisp – good value for the price. Unfortunately there was no toilet paper stocked in the bathroom, and on the last day the shower short‑circuited while I was using it. Those little issues kept the stay from being perfect.

I felt completely misled – the listing called it a pousada, but what I got was a regular house that felt creepy, and the owner acted oddly. It turned out to be a scam; there was no proper lodging at all. I think the platform needs stricter checks on these kinds of ads.

The service was terrible and the location awful – the street is full of potholes and not even paved. The building looked abandoned, dirty, and smelled bad; there was no one to check us in, and we waited two hours for someone to arrive. The linens were filthy and the odor lingered throughout.
