The atmosphere was super pleasant, and we even found a great spontaneous storage solution for our bicycles.

The Hotel de la Tour de Nesle is centrally located in La Rochelle's old town, facing two medieval towers at the Vieux Port entrance. It offers comfortable rooms with simple decor, free Wi-Fi, and views of the towers. A generous breakfast is served in the breakfast room. Surrounding the hotel are numerous restaurants, shops, and cafes.

The staff were excellent, yet the room was noticeably smaller than expected for the price. The shower room was tiny, though it worked fine. The biggest issue was the street noise; the hotel sits in a lively central area full of bars and restaurants, which meant constant noise well into the night. Friday and Saturday nights were unbearable, with rowdy crowds and shouting until 4.30 am on Friday and 5.30 am on Saturday, making it impossible to sleep. There’s nothing the hotel can do about La Rochelle’s nightlife, but we felt it necessary to share our experience.

The situation was great, but the room was extremely small, leaving almost no space to move around, and the price was too high for what was offered.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and cleanliness and breakfast were excellent.

The location was great, rooms were bright and clean, but La Rochelle is very noisy and doesn’t allow anyone to sleep.
