The room was basic but clean, with a working bed, desk, and lights. Breakfast was limited but acceptable for the 7 euro price, and the staff were friendly. The location was fine. However, the reception and breakfast area downstairs were very dirty and sloppy, with empty cups, bottles, grime, and sticky stuff everywhere. The room sometimes smelled of sewage, probably from the street, and the staircase was worn out and dirty. The shampoo sachets were impossible to open, and there was only one roll of toilet paper.

The hotel was relatively quiet and had good sound isolation between rooms. The bathroom lighting could not be turned off at night.

The bed was okay and the room could fit two people. It’s close to Gare du Nord. The rooms were small, the staircase to floors 1‑5 was narrow, the bathroom lacked finishing touches and had loose fixtures, and there was no way to make coffee or tea in the room.

The staff were welcoming. The noise was an issue, there was no elevator, the stairs were old, the smell was unpleasant, and the window between the landing and the bathroom let the view of my silhouette during the shower and on the toilet!

I really liked the hotel’s location, just a few minutes’ walk from Gare du Nord, and the metro isn’t far either. Unfortunately, there was a strong sewer smell in the room that was very unpleasant.
