Everything was easy, clean and comfortable, and I had no issues.
“A nice place to stay for a couple of days”
The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and felt safe; it was easy to find and close to shops and restaurants. The owner was friendly on the phone and informed me that the shower was being fixed, which was completed quickly without any disruptions.
Another guest in the facility was smoking marijuana, which was a problem.
“Ideal for walkers on the SWCP”
The location was close to the bus station and town centre, and I could use the kitchen. However, the sink area and worktops were not always clean, the mattress felt quite hard, the carpet edges and drawer interiors were dirty, and the shower was small.
The location was good, but before arrival I got a message with a lock‑box code that turned out to contain no key. I called the number in the message, and after a long ring the host hung up and sent a text saying “I can’t talk now.” I immediately replied that there was no key, and I had to carry all my luggage back to my car for 10 minutes. Over an hour later I received a message saying “sorry, I was busy,” which was the only apology or explanation for not being able to access the room I was paying for. Inside the room the shower was loose on the wall, the fan was broken, and the blind on the window was ineffective, allowing people on the road side ground‑floor street to see inside.
