The breakfast buffet was incredibly tasty, the bed was very comfortable and the room turned out larger than I expected. The natural hot spring water felt high‑quality and soothing, and the lobby had a calming atmosphere. I was startled when I opened the door to my room and found the door wasn’t properly closed—something I’d never experienced before and would find frightening abroad, so I made a mental note to be careful.

The location is convenient for restaurants and the station, and there’s a good selection of amenities. The bed is comfortable, the room is huge, and on‑site parking is available (paid). The staff are friendly, the onsen is great and clean, and the room itself is tidy. It has a deep bath (short but deep, fine for a 6'7" man). The downside is that you have to pick a breakfast time slot at check‑in, and you also have to choose between Japanese or Western breakfast at check‑in (different restaurants in different towers of the hotel). The room is large enough for a sofa but there isn’t one. The bathroom feels a bit dated, and the Wi‑Fi is very, very slow.

Nice hot spring, plenty of parking, and Mandarin‑speaking service at the counter (by change). However, the staff at the counter are very busy and often hard to reach, and the queen‑size room is rather small ;(
